  1. Dear Amy,

For your feature article, one part that I thought was quite unique and stylistically effective was the way you formatted the information in your article. You started your article off by mentioning the current title and status of the rapper and then went into depth to describe his childhood, the circumstances, and lifestyle that lead to his success as a rapper, which you discussed towards the end. This overall added a full-circle theme to your writing, as you ended at the point where you started and lured the reader into your writing through this stylistic choice.

As for improvement, I suggest elaborating more on either the childhood or current life of the rapper to reflect what makes him unique amongst several other rappers in the industry currently. While I was reading, although your information explained the overall identity and work of NBA YoungBoy, it was a bit difficult for me to understand why this rapper is distinct amongst all of the other rappers that are popular with our generation today. Also, for the part where you explained the history behind the scars the rapper has, I thought that was quite interesting and something that any other article may not have explained when writing about NBA YoungBoy; however, I suggest adding some sort of link to connect why that is significant to the work or life of the rapper you wrote about in your feature article.

Overall, I loved reading your work and definitely gained insight regarding the style of your writing and your effective way to add stylistic twists to formal pieces of writing such as the feature article. One final question I have for you is why did you particularly choose this rapper for your article? Is there a certain feature or style of the rapper that inspires you and thus has motivated you to write about him?

    Sincerely,
    Preet 🙂

  2. Hey Amy,

Good job on your feature article! Your article was very informative and I liked how you incorporated interesting facts throughout the piece. Honestly, I had zero knowledge of NBA YoungBoy until I read your article and although I’m not much of a rap fan, I’ll certainly check out his music.

As for improvements, I have just a few that may help you to polish up your article.
Although the beginning sentence of your article was attention capturing, I suggest you start with something that pops out from everything else. Maybe use of one of his famous quotes, or an interesting fact. This way you automatically capture the readers attention and persuade them to continue reading.
I don’t know much about YoungBoy’s life events; therefore, I may not be justified to give you this suggestion but nonetheless here it is: Throughout the article, it would be good if you kept the events of Youngboy’s life in chronological order. You did an excellent job of describing each event but make sure you include it’s significance as well!
Lastly, I have one more very small suggestion. You have lots of awesome information in your article, something you can do is link everything together to create a nice flow. Perhaps try creating a storyline as a backbone and build your article on that. Start with YoungBoy’s early age going on to teen years, explain significant events of those years. Maybe even talk about how he built up his career and the influences of family. Then you can step into his adulthood and explain his present situations.
    That’s it that’s all!

Again, awesome job with the article, Amy! As I mentioned before, I’m not really interested in rappers, so considering that fact that I was genuinely interested in your article means you did a phenomenal job!

    Sincerely,
    Hefseeba
